The Black Watch (42nd Royal Highland Regiment) was formed in 1739 after the Jacobite Rebellion of 1715. Clans loyal to the Crown--Campbells, Grants, Fraser and Munro formed six companies in 1725 and became the Black Watch in 1739. The shirt is in navy blue.
